A level 10 shockwave on the musical richter scale struck the world on Thursday. That's when news broke that Prince was found dead in his Paisley Park headquarters in Minnesota. He was 57 years old. 

Globally monuments and stadiums were lit in Purple to honor Prince. New York fans took to the streets in Brooklyn's Fort Green neighborhood at Spike Lee’s 40Acres and a Mule for a block party. 125th Street in Harlem was shut down, as fans gathered outside the Apollo Theater throughout the weekend.
